I was reading a recent BCG’s article “How Countries with Aging Populations Can Thrive” reminding us that longer lives can strengthen, not strain, our economies — 𝐢𝐟 𝐰𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫.
It starts with rethinking the employee lifecycle:
- Flexible retirement instead of fixed exits
- Roles built around judgment and knowledge rather than endurance
- Continuous learning for every age
- And above all, 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, where experience meets curiosity, and knowledge flows both ways.
